| George Clooney Talks About Paparazzi Standoff
It creates bounty hunters in a way. They cry poor… then look at the cars they're driving… Mercedes and Land Rovers." After getting into a motorcycle accident two months ago while driving around New Jersey, it's no surprise that George is responding so strongly to dangerous motorcycle driving. And, he comes to the defense of other stars who have had famous paparazzi encounters. "You look at the footage of Britney running the red light… there's eight guys with cameras at night in the middle of the street. There are no rules now. It sounds like a bunch of well-off people whining about how difficult their life is but I really don't believe that is the case. It's getting to a point where people that are not involved are getting hurt." "I'm the son of an anchorman," George says, referring to his father, Nick Clooney, a noted TV newsman.

Read this story about Amy's little angel in this week's Upper Cape Codder Tragedy strikes family a second time By Robert Slager/ rslager@cnc.com A little angel has been whispering into Amy Johnson's ear every day since June 7. The voice of her little sister Kristen, forever frozen in time, is pleading with her to fight a little bit longer. "I know it's true," said Carol Henderson of Wareham, who lost one daughter to a car accident a decade ago and may now lose another. "Amy has injuries that you and I could not have survived." Amy Johnson, who moved from Wareham to Bridgewater just a few weeks ago, lost control of her car in the early morning and slammed into a tree near Exit 2 on I-495, suffering massive internal injuries.
These Loans Were Made for Walking: The End of the Subprime Crisis
Paul and Minneapolis alone will spend on this, they could rebuild that bridge that collapsed last summer…and then some. The saddest thing is that nobody has mentioned the only thing that will provide a long term cure…heavy regulation of the banking and real estate industries. Any other alleged solution will only make the problem worse. Banking deregulation caused the savings and loan debacle of the Bush 41 administration. The solution to that was ever increasing bank deregulation, thereby creating the current "crisis" that is far worse than the savings and loan debacle. The next crisis 10 years from now will be even worse than this one unless industry is re-regulated. .
The Blog!!!!!
Now I just blog, do research, and sometimes make forum posts. I'm not going to do a big one year extravaganza blog like most people, but I suppose I could take a brief look at the past year. Let's start with stats: 1,562 people have looked at my profile.45 of them thought I was cool and decided to track meI've made 43 blog posts (including this one)I've made just over 900 forum postsI earned 11 emblems, some of them I regret (Hour of Victory....)I've written eight reviewsI've uploaded two vidsThe most comments on one of my blog posts is...13 I believe (such a big number!)My name has been mentioned on On The Spot...three times I believe So, over the course of this year, I've failed to make a big name for myself in the GS community. But that's fine. I wasn't expecting to even have the 45 people tracking me.
Hendry St. rescue plan underway
Dozens of city employees and contractors flooded foreclosure-plagued Hendry Street in Dorchester yesterday for a concentrated burst of cleaning and staging that felt like the bustle on a movie set. Workers installed new street signs, removed old cars, blasted paint from buildings, and swept trash from the street. Just as Mayor Thomas M. Menino prepared to address a press gaggle, workers attached a sign to the building behind him announcing "The Hendry Street Project." City officials said three-block Hendry Street may host Boston's largest concentration of foreclosed properties. Mortgage companies have seized at least eight homes on the street. All sit empty, with boards on the windows and doors. The area has become a dumping ground and a haven for criminal activity, officials and residents say.
Wisconsin Sports Spectacular
I haven't seen many Pro Bowl trip packages to Hawaii advertised by travel agents lately. That's because they don't really exist. Every time I have seen the Pro Bowl, there are a lot of empty seats. It's just not a good game for the reasons mentioned above. That's why there isn't any juice to it, and then you take the star power out of it? That really makes it irrelevant. I think that they should just name the team, and not bother with playing the game. Name the players that made the team, give them their bonus checks and move on. The game is pointless for the players and the fans. There isn't an AP All-American game for the college players as far as I know. So the system of just naming the Pro Bowlers and not actually having a Pro Bowl would be a lot like that. If they are going to keep the game, there are 2 things I think they should do to improve it.
